The Application Process The Collective 21 course requires students to fill out an application, complete with a teacher recommendation. If you are interested in this course, please be sure to come to the informational meeting during extended study on Wednesday January 30th. Tryout and interview schedules will be announced at the meeting, and will also be posted on this site. It is up to the students to download the application form, fill out the student information section, and give it to a teacher for recommendation. All teacher recommendation should be in Mr. Guyer's mailbox no later than February 7th. It is recommended that students check with Mr. Guyer to confirm that the recommendation form has turned in. Application Timeline Interviews and Drawing Tryouts will take place from February 4th - 8th. The drawing tryout will consist of a 1 hour observational drawing session, and the interviews will be informal one-on-one discussions with Mr.Guyer about why the student is interested in taking the course. Observational Drawing All students who wish to be a part of the Collective 21 course must complete a one-hour observational drawing session. These sessions will take place after school during the week of February 4th. There are no guidelines for these drawings other than the time-limit. Informal Interview All students will have an informal interview with Mr. Guyer in which several questions will be asked to help measure the work-ethic, maturity, and interest in the course. ................................................................................................................. Statement of Purpose All students will also have to write a paragraph about why he or she wishes to be a part of the Collective 21.
