The Computer Art program, or "Design Program" as we like to call it, is aimed at providing hands-on experience to our students in the fields of Graphic Design and Art Direction, including a multitude of lessons in Web Design, Typographic Design, Photography, and Copywriting. Currently, Deep Run High School is the only program in Henrico County with four levels of "Computer Art". Using an array of design software, students of this program are guided through a variety of real-world projects that challenge both their creativity and technical skill. Our faculty encourages creative problem solving and the innovative investigation of design as a communicative device. The primary goal of the Design program at Deep Run High school is to educate students to successfully integrate form and information for the purpose of effective visual communication. |
